This Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) position within our National Branch Network, Consumer, Small & Business Banking division offers opportunities to develop your skills and connect with customers. Learn more about our business divisions and career areas at wellsfargojobs.com.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional customer experiences through proactive outreach and proposing suitable products and services.
- Assisting customers with basic requests, such as opening new accounts or submitting credit applications.
- Receiving direction from managers while exercising judgment within defined policies and procedures.
- Developing an understanding of bank products and services to meet customer needs.
- Building relationships with customers by demonstrating care and interacting with them effectively.
- Providing options for bank products and services to customers and referring their financial needs to other bankers or partners when necessary.
- This SAFE position involves customer contact and requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements, including acceptable background investigation results. As a Loan Originator, you must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if needed.
Requirements and qualifications:
- At least six months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Preferred qualifications:
- A customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
- Proactive engagement with customers via phone or email.
- Ability to educate and connect customers with technology and promote mobile banking options.
- Helping customers succeed financially by introducing them to additional team members as appropriate.
- Experience working with a team to meet customer needs.
- Fostering and developing strong customer relationships.
- Building relationships with internal partners.
- FOLLOWING POLICIES, PROCEDURES, AND REGULATIONS.
- Identifying potential fraud or risky accounts and taking appropriate action to prevent loss.
- Interacting with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members.
- Military experience, including protocol and instructions, enlisted evaluations, officer/leadership reporting, personnel benefits management, processing military personnel orders or transitions, wartime readiness operations, human resources, or military recruiting.
- Proficient in sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Supporting customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.
Job expectations:
- Working a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
- Maintaining cash drawers, handling cash, balancing, and completing service-related tasks as needed.
Additional information:
- This position requires SAFE registration at the time of employment. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your start date. You will be required to comply with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
