Wells Fargo is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (Principal Business Execution Consultant) that will support the Head of Diverse Segments for Commercial Banking. In this role you will manage and execute the Commercial Bank diverse customer segment strategies, initiatives, and programs and support the operations of the Diverse Segments for Commercial Banking.
Diverse Segments, Representation, and Inclusion (DSRI) focuses on expanding diversity at all levels of the company, intentionally deepening our commitment and connection to employees and diverse suppliers and developing products and services for customer segments that are critical to our business. DSRI is closely integrated with other enterprise functions and business lines via dotted line and dual reporting to advance DSRI strategic priorities and drive accountability, including Control Management, Supplier Diversity, and Diverse Customer Segments, Chief Operating Office, and Technology.
In this role, you will:
- Function as a top subject matter expert to lead business and client priorities, driving accountability across all internal functions supporting the business with enterprise impact, high risk and/or with significant scope, cost, and benefits
- Execute the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant challenges across budgeting and forecasting, infrastructure planning, and broad compliance and operational risk efforts
- Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, broad-reaching, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
- Coordinate highly complex activities and resolution
- Provide vision, leadership, and industry expertise regarding implementation of innovative and significant business solutions that significantly influence the organization's business and financial operations
- Strategically lead professionals
- Serve as an expert advisor to the senior leadership
- Represent the company externally in industry networking and trade and technical events
- Act as a top subject matter professional for Business Execution who leads highly complex, large, and cross organizational strategic initiatives with companywide impact
- Lead the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant challenges across multiple lines of business
- Deliver solutions that are long-term, large scale, broad reaching
- Plan and manage strategic initiatives, using solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of Business Execution, and understanding of international business
- Provide vision, leadership, and industry knowledge regarding highly complex cross organizational strategic initiatives that significantly influence the company's business
- Strategically lead all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of business and support groups
- Evaluate effectiveness and provide updates to key enterprise stakeholders, leadership, and executive leadership regarding the root cause, cost or benefit, and risk evaluations
Required Qualifications, US:
- 10 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

- Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships and business development initiatives across Commercial Banking, CIB, WIM.
- Experience in strong relationship management and proven leadership skills, with solid conflict management, negotiation, and organizational effectiveness techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage effectively in a heavily matrixed organization with a high degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight
- Ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically to senior and executive leaders
- Ability to influence without direct authority, create and manage (while achieving results) large-scale change and influence people at all levels of the organization
- Ability to develop operational reporting and performing complex data analysis to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) skills required
- Ability to coordinate internal audits or examinations conducted by external parties
