About this role:
Wells Fargo’s CIB Fund Finance Group is seeking a Corporate Banking Analyst to join its Investor Analysis Team in its Charlotte or New York office.
The Fund Finance Group provides financing to private equity funds and other asset managers through structured credit facilities. Fund Finance is part of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). The Investor Analysis Team focuses specifically on the credit analysis and underwriting of limited partners (investors) which serve as the collateral for Fund Finance subscription credit facilities (i.e., insurance companies, pension funds, endowments, sovereign wealth funds, large corporations, and other institutional investors).
The Corporate Banking Analyst role is primarily focused on credit underwriting and analysis and legal diligence, preparing fulsome credit materials to synthesize and present this analysis to key stakeholders, as well supporting ongoing monitoring and project management related to the analysis of limited partner exposure across the Fund Finance portfolio.
In this role, you will:
Manage day-to-day job responsibilities including:
Preparing comprehensive financial analysis on limited partners (including, but not limited to, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, insurance companies and banks)
Developing a credit opinion on limited partners and presenting analysis to senior team members and Credit partners
Ongoing review of performance and ratings of limited partners across the Fund Finance portfolio
Conducting deep-dive analysis via periodic presentations on particular investor types and trends, economic events, and geopolitical events and potential impacts to the portfolio
Liaising with various teams within Fund Finance, inclusive of senior bankers, Credit partners, and other lines of business across Wells Fargo
Maintaining various databases and spreadsheet models used for internal reporting and surveillance
Required Qualifications:
6 months of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics or Engineering (or MBA)
6 mos of underwriting or credit experience with a focus in finance
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Strong technical and analytical skills including financial analysis
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Familiarity with private equity funds
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Professional presentation skills
Job Expectations:
Registration for FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE), 7 and 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.

Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
