Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Financial Risk Officer that will be an individual contributor role on the Finance Risk Management (FRM) - Liquidity Risk Oversight (LRO) Team reporting to the Risk Analytics Director. This will be a high visibility role requiring regular interactions with senior leaders across Liquidity Risk Management, Liquidity Management, Corporate Risk, and Internal Audit. This individual will be responsible for liquidity risk oversight in the areas of Intraday Liquidity and New Business Initiative review and challenge.

In This Role, You Will
The individual will contribute to oversight in multiple areas, to include but not limited to, the following:
- Develop and own an oversight framework for intraday liquidity:
- Develop an approach for ongoing monitoring of intraday results and activities
- Work with treasury stakeholders to conduct periodic reviews of intraday risk and activities
- Work with treasury stakeholders on ad hoc analyses and projects related to current topics and emerging risk in intraday liquidity.
- Partner with LRO peers and leadership to complete enterprise risk program activities including quarterly and annual risk assessments as well as regulatory compliance for intraday liquidity
- Review and challenge periodic metric and threshold updates
- Own and coordinate New Business Initiative (NBI) process:
- Develop and maintain procedures for NBI review and challenge including 2 key controls and 1 non-key control
- Retain evidence of control execution for the LRO team
- Serve as main point of contact and process lead for the LRO team for all NBIs
- Monitor other assessments in the corporate NBI system to provide coverage for pre-vetting and continuous monitoring of past product changes.
- Own and coordinate Error Log Review process:
- Develop and maintain procedures for error log review
- Retain evidence for LRO team related to error log review and challenge
- Serve as main point of contact and process lead for the LRO team for the error log process
- 5 years of Financial Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: liquidity risk, finance/treasury/asset liability management
- Experience in bank liquidity and/or capital analysis including stress test scenarios
- Experience in bank regulatory matters, in depth knowledge of Liquidity Risk rules and regulations like regulation YY and others.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in banking and finance
- Proven ability to foster constructive relationships with various levels of management
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to be proactive in terms of identifying and addressing risk and management issues that are arising
- Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
- Experience in bank regulatory matters
- Working knowledge of liquidity risk management concepts
- Demonstrated success leading & implementing projects
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills
- SQL, SAS, or similar database experience is a plus
- Ability to work at one of the approved locations in the job posting
- Willingness to comply with our hybrid work model; working from a Wells Fargo facility at least three days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week
