About this role:

Wells Fargo’s Credit Investment Grade Trading Desk is seeking a Macro Credit Trader to trade Credit Derivatives, CDX Index and CDX Index Options. 

This position is open to our Boston, New York and Charlotte, NC locations.


In this role, you will:

  • Effectively manage risk positions across high grade credit within the guidelines of Well Fargo’s high grade trading mandate
  • Work with desk strategists and the salesforce to source and develop unique trade ideas to introduce to clients, create liquidity and drive capital efficiencies
  • Create and maintain relationships with buy-side trading counterparts, internal business partners, and internal sales and trading personnel across all trading desk
  • Effectively manage risk positions across high grade credit within the guidelines of Well Fargo’s high grade trading mandate. 
  • Work with desk strategists and the salesforce to source and develop unique trade ideas to introduce to clients, create liquidity and drive capital efficiencies. 
  • Create and maintain relationships with buy-side trading counterparts, internal business partners, and internal sales and trading personnel across all trading desks.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for business development and risk mitigation efforts utilizing Macro Credit products.


Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 15 years of Credit trading experience with a proven history of implementing and successfully executing macro trading strategies.
  • Exceptional credit knowledge with a history of managing credit derivative products.
  • Ability to develop and execute various risk management strategies.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a deep understanding of Credit Derivative products. 
  • Has and maintained established relationships across the Credit markets, including buy-side clients
  • Needs to be organized, affable, and able to work in a collegial, team-oriented environment.  

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 25% or as needed
  • Registration for FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE), 7, 63, and 55 (or 57) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Must be able to work out of one of the following posted locations: Boston, MA; New York, NY; or Charlotte, NC

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$249,500.00 - $518,300.00
