Senior Software Engineer - Java and Workflow Automation Developer
Wells Fargo Home Lending Originations Technology is modernizing the technology and business processes to provide best in class experience for customers and team members. As a Senior Software Engineer in this role, you will develop technology solutions to simplify, streamline and enhance the mortgage origination process. In this role you will have opportunity to work on an application with complex integrations as well as cloud native Microservices based on Event Driven Architecture. You are expected to challenge the status quo and influence technology and business stakeholders with your innovative solutions to solve business/technology problems, reusable framework and industry best practices/patterns that can be used across the Home Lending and beyond.

Develop solutions for Java applications adhering to established standards.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00

In This Role, You Will
Develop solutions for Java applications adhering to established standards.
- Develop and share the industry best practices and standards for the business functional development and non-functional requirements.
- Create unit test cases and automated functional test cases using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) technique following Test Driven Development (TDD) practices.
- Create solutions with logging, APM monitoring to identify and react to issues immediately.
- Develop Microservices following event driven architecture.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Leverage AI coding tools (e.g. Github Copilot) to speed and improve development
- Augment applications with AI capabilities to automate business process and improve the speed and effectiveness of our Home Lending Operations.
- Understand and assure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met
- Participate in daily scrum activities and ceremonies.
- Escalation point for addressing production and non-production issues.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- 4 years of Java, Spring Boot, SQL development and unit test case development experience
- 3 years of IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) application development experience
- 2 years of cloud native application development experience (Azure, GCP, AWS)
- Angular or related UI Framework experience
- IBM BAW installation and configuration experience on WebSphere Liberty
- Oracle and Hibernate query development experience
- MongoDB or related NoSQL database experience
- Kafka or related data streaming technology experience
- Cloud native microservices development experience based on event driven architecture
- OpenShift Container Platform experience
- Proficiency with AI code generation tools
- Agile development methodologies
- Domain Driven Design principles
- Implementing non-functional requirements including monitoring (APM tools), logging (Splunk), distributed tracing
- Experience migrating from monolithic applications to microservices
- Experience developing automated functional testing using the BDD technique
- JUnit and Selenium test automation
- Azure cloud certified
