As a Strategy Consultant in the Technology Strategy team, you will partner with the group leader and team members to drive the annual strategic planning process for technology and create deliverables, artifacts and analyses that demonstrate the status and progress of the enterprise Technology Strategy. You will also lead strategic projects across a range of topics that are short-term and high impact as assigned by the Head of Technology that will require agility, speed and clear reasoning in delivery. These projects will span the Wells Fargo Technology organization and be vary in subject, from tactical organizational assessments to wide-ranging analysis of future-looking technology trends.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Strategy & Planning
- Contribute to large scale planning related to Strategy & Planning
- Assist in the identification of strategic business, investment opportunities, evaluation, and approval process of identified opportunities
- Review and analyze business, operational, or technical assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives
- Exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
- Resolve moderately complex issues
- Lead team to meet deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 4 years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 2 years of consulting, strategy, or corporate experience with technology exposure
- Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to operate and thrive in an agile working environment, and to transition existing non-agile teams to an agile and autonomous way of working
- Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
- Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
- Ability to turn preliminary or ambiguous information, ideas, or problems into well-defined plans and solutions
- Experience delivering results in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
