About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual to fill Cloud Adoption & Enablement Technology Director (M4) role.  

This role will lead initiatives to drive cloud adoption, streamline onboarding, and provide ongoing enablement support to teams across the organization. As part of the Wells Fargo Technology’s CTO organization within the Application & Cloud Transformation (ACT) team, this role is pivotal in supporting our cloud strategy, delivering technical resources, and establishing best practices that empower developers and teams to fully leverage cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, and OpenShift). This position collaborates with product, engineering, and architecture teams to enhance cloud adoption and streamline cloud-native application development.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and managing onboarding processes for Azure, GCP, and OpenShift, ensuring that teams have a seamless experience integrating with cloud platforms.
  • Providing solutions architecture guidance and consulting to application teams, helping design cloud-native and optimized workloads aligned with best practices.
  • Defining and promoting best practices for cloud-native development, including architecture blueprints, design patterns, and security guidelines to support teams in building robust, scalable applications.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation, playbooks, and resources tailored to Azure, GCP, and OpenShift, ensuring developers have the tools needed to work efficiently within each platform.
  • Acting as a key resource for internal teams, providing technical enablement, workshops, and training to accelerate cloud adoption and reduce friction points in cloud usage.
  • Partnering with Product Management, Platform Engineering, and Governance, Risk and Control teams to drive cloud adoption strategies, align on key initiatives, and ensure consistency in user experience across cloud environments.
  • Establishing feedback loops with developers and platform users to identify areas for improvement, optimize onboarding experiences, and address common technical challenges.
  • Collaborating and influencing functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives. 
  • Developing and guiding a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in cloud adoption, enablement, or technical consulting roles within technology organizations
  • 5 years of strong understanding of multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, OpenShift) and hands-on experience with cloud-native development
  • 5 years of proven expertise in solutions architecture and cloud onboarding processes
  • 5 years of experience with developing best practices and providing technical enablement or training in large technology organizations
  • 8 years of excellent communication skills with a focus on clear documentation and cross-functional collaboration
  • 5 years of strong analytical skills, with experience in reporting and providing actionable insights from complex data sets
  • 4 years of Management experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, OpenShift Administrator)
  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and modern CI/CD tooling
  • Demonstrated experience in technical project management or program management related to cloud initiatives
  • Leading change in a large corporate technology environment with a focus on cloud function
  • Experience in collaborating and partnering with other key parts of the organization and drive towards shared goals and success 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, at all levels of the organization, including senior executive-level leadership
  • Ability to drive and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
  • Demonstrated experience in building, leading, developing and retaining a high performing team of leaders, strong technical experts and high performing professionals in a cultural environment that achieves results through team member engagement and satisfaction
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussion to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead
  • Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results-oriented leadership style
  • Recognized internally and externally as a thought leader and subject matter expert

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$207,900.00 - $431,900.00
