At Wells Lawn Care and Landscaping, we specialize in designing and maintaining stunning softscape environments for both residential and commercial clients. We’re looking for a talented Landscape Designer & Estimator to create exceptional planting designs, accurately estimate project costs, and drive sales with confidence.

What You’ll Do:
- Meet with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget for landscape projects
- Create innovative and visually stunning softscape designs using industry-leading software
- Develop detailed planting plans, including plant selection, seasonal color rotations, and sustainable landscape practices
- Prepare accurate project proposals, including cost estimates, timelines, and material specifications
- Sell landscape design and maintenance projects to client prospects and confidently close deals
- Conduct site assessments and gather essential project data
- Collaborate with nursery suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality plant materials
- Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure smooth project handoff
- Stay up to date with industry trends, sustainability practices, and plant care techniques
- Occasionally answer incoming sales inquiries, including those outside of landscape design
What You Bring to the Table:
- Strong design skills and a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality
- Experience or knowledge of landscape estimating systems (e.g., LMN) is a plus
- Excellent sales and client relationship skills – you’re motivated by closing deals!
- Proficiency in design software SketchUp, or similar (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of plant material, soil health, irrigation basics, and seasonal plantings
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management abilities
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license required for site visits
Work Environment:
- Hybrid setting – office work combined with client site visits
- Company vehicle provided for off-site visits
- Extended periods of screen time for design work
- Occasional visits to client properties and nursery suppliers
