GENERAL DESCRIPTION
CAD Technician I is responsible for preparation of production drawings, small scale erection drawing revisions, and project coordination used for fabrication and installation of precast concrete products. This position supports the department in maintaining internal scheduling for project requirements and deadlines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintaining Project data flow from the Revit Model to Concrete Vision
- Revises erection drawings as necessary
- Create/revise individual pour sheets for Production to produce each piece needed
- Maintain Project Flow, following target dates as established by the D&E Team
- Follows departmental standards and practices
- Completes special projects as requested and performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree in drafting degree preferred
- Interpersonal communication skills to work in a team setting, as well as in a 1-on-1 environment
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- General math skills and ability to read blueprints and plans
- Basic understanding of general construction practices
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow project schedules
- Motivation and self-drive are required to complete a task
- Ability to use Revit along with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other computer software programs
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and able to work on more than one project at once
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment
- Visual acuity and ability to read small print
- Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment
- Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed
