GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for assisting in the development of production shop tickets, shop details and the assembly of drawings for Precast concrete systems using Revit (BIM). Additional responsibilities could include production hardware cut sheets and working with Senior Drafters & Designers to detail erection drawings for Precast concrete products to ensure the product is built to specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed drawings for construction commercial product projects
- Use computer aided design and drafting systems (AutoCAD, Revit) to prepare drawings
- Create and store drawings electronically
- Ensure all drawings are within design specifications
- Maintains project flow, following target dates as established by the design and engineering team
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Certificate, associate’s degree or related experience
- Drafting experience and the ability to illustrate and dimension drawings as required
- Experience using Autodesk products including AutoCAD and Revit BIM
- Willingness to learn and adapt to Gate-Wells Precast standards as needed
- Willingness and ability to work as a team player
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel along with Bluebeam Revu
- Must be detailed oriented
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience in similar concrete related industry desired, but not required

- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.
- Visual acuity and ability to read small print.
- Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.

- Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed.
