The NICET Level III or IV Sprinkler Design Professional will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, development, and design of fire sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre-action, fire pumps diesel, and electric and associated controllers), in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and standards, as well as relevant local, state, and federal regulations. This senior-level position acts as a technical authority, supervising and mentoring construction installers, coordinating with multiple departments, and interfacing with clients to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- NICET Level IV Certification in Water-Based Systems Layout
- Already have or able to obtain Illinois certification license.
- Proficient in CAD software and hydraulic calculation programs
- Strong understanding of NFPA codes and local and state building codes
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborative team player who works seamlessly with other trades and fire protection specialties
- Capable of working independently to create complete plans for standard systems, using specifications, plans and standards
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $47.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
