Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Infrastructure Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Infrastructure Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Infrastructure Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Infrastructure Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Infrastructure Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- As a member of the Innovation Labs engineering team, your daily responsibility will be to use hands-on technical knowledge to engineer, operate and support all our systems and platforms we use in the lab to deliver meaningful solutions to our internal customers.
- Use exceptional technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to break down complex technical problems and solve needs of the organization.
- Ensure continuous uptime, stability, and compliance in all levels for all the Innovation Labs systems and environments.
- Author and then utilize scripting and infrastructure as code to automate the support of on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructures and lab services.
- Help design and implement security best practices and zero trust principles across all lab systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of our internal customers and applications.
Qualifications:

- Proven experience and technical knowledge in configuring, maintaining, supporting, troubleshooting and problem solving related to each of these core Infrastructure domains:
- Compute
- Storage
- Networking
- Virtualization
- A track record engineering and operationalizing cross-platform operating systems and platforms, including customizing/packaging, deploying, supporting, patching and maintaining:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2019, 2022
- Microsoft Windows 10/11
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, 9
- OpenShift
- Demonstrated advanced experience in deploying, configuring and running Microsoft Domain Services and related technologies:
- Active Directory Domain Services
- Group Policy Creation/Management
- Desired State Image, Configuration and Drift Management
- System Center / Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Windows Update Services
- Windows DNS
- Firm operational and configuration knowledge of Virtualization and container technologies, especially:
- VMware vSphere Suite
- VMWare NSX (formerly NSX-T/Data Center)
- Have working experience authoring automation scripts and using Infrastructure as Code tools, including:
- Terraform
- PowerShell
- BASH
- Administration and Engineering experience within a cloud platform, especially Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience working at the tenant level / organization level.
- Hybrid Connectivity
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Google Workspace
- Ability to lift 75 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to work within a server room to rack/stack/cable infrastructure.
- Ability to navigate above server racks or below sub-floors
- Administering and Configuration of Red Hat Satellite (Preferred)
- Experience with creating and using API endpoints. (Preferred)
- Engineering Certifications in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (Preferred)
- OpenShift and OpenShift Container Service (Preferred)
- Experience with C# or other Higher-Level Object-Oriented languages (Preferred)
