Summary:
Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the technology teams. Work as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional area. Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems. Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements. Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives. Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals.
Responsibilities:

- Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements
- Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals.
- Lead the enablement and rollout of Kubernetes, and VMWare Tanzu (PCF) Application Service
- Enablement lead on the Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment solution for Pivotal Cloud Foundry using IBM Urban Code
- Work closely with internal engineering teams and VMware to adopt and adapt to best practices for VMWare TANZU and assist partners with troubleshooting with onboarding, migrations to new foundations and day to day break-fix activities and upgrades as needed.
- Will need to work an on-call rotation and possible after-hours as needed.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
- Strong Linux Administration skills
- One or more Cloud Certifications
- Experience with VMWare ESX, NSX-T and virtualizations technologies that support a LINUX client base.
- Experience with Urban Code
- Application or Middleware, Java, Tomcat, or relevant Web Technologies support is preferred
- Storage and networking troubleshooting experience
- Experience with Redis
- Experience with one or more Cloud platforms: Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)/Tanzu App Service (TAS), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge in containerization technologies/Kubernetes
- Knowledge and understanding of Splunk
- Experience with one or more Cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF)/Tanzu App Service (TAS)
