Position Summary

The Site Supervisor is responsible for managing the clinical and administrative functions of the program.  This may include supervising staff, overseeing treatment planning, and ensuring programmatic and contract compliance.

 

Demonstrates commitment to the provision of services for the underserved and sensitivity working with a variety of people from low-income populations, with diverse educational, lifestyle, ethnic, and cultural origins;

Disabled, homeless, substance users, HIV (AIDS) infected, and/or physiologically impaired.

 

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Training, and Licensure)

  • High School diploma required, Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Valid CCAPP, CADTP or CAADE certification required.
  • 3 years’ experience counseling people with substance use disorder using evidence based practices. preferred. Knowledge of the local treatment community and referrals preferred.
  • If in recovery, at least three years of sobriety preferred.
  • The ability to work independently and as a team, strong organizational skills, and the ability to stay on task required.
  • Excellent customer service experience including active listening, problem solving, and the ability to remain calm in emotional or stressful situations.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Computer (PC) literate in general office functions such as word processing, email and database software.
  • Commitment to HIPAA and ability to abide by standards of professional ethics and maintain confidentiality.
  • Current CPR and first aid certificate or willingness to be trained required within first (90) ninety days of employment.

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support all treatment staff on professional growth and training plans, supervise clinical services, treatment services scheduling, curriculum implementation and quality assurance.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all contract requirements and the implementation of agency updates.
  • Represent the agency and the division in a positive and professional manner while acting as a liaison within the community.
  • Attend agency and community meetings as required. Participate in clinical consultation and professional collaboration.
  • Ensure staff maintains progress notes, group notes, assessments, treatment plans and site billing is submitted accurately and on time.
  • Assist with the hiring all staff members to provide quality and ethical services.
  • Assist with the completion of annual evaluations, competencies and reviews of all program staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality, ethics, and professionalism in all aspects of the job.
  • Adhere to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.
  • Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to the operation of the organization’s programs.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The work environment is characteristic of an office environment.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel.  The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.   The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

 

The employee may be in contact with individuals and families in crisis who may be ill, using substances and/or not attentive to personal health and safety for themselves or their homes. The employee may experience a number of unpleasant sensory demands associated with the client’s use of alcohol and drugs, and the lack of personal care.  The employee may also be exposed to bodily fluids (blood, urine) and hazardous chemicals.
