Full time (80 hours biweekly)
Weekdays, daytime hours 8 am to 4:30 pm
General Summary
Develops, implements and manages the comprehensive bariatric surgery and medical weight management programs across the System.
Duties and Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the service line leadership team, assumes responsibility for the development, implementation and program management of the WSH bariatric surgery and medical weight management program(s).
- Serves as the expert on all aspects of bariatric surgery and medical weight management to health care professionals, staff, patients, families and the community.
- Develops and implements patient educational material for all patients who may benefit from comprehensive bariatric surgery and medical weight management program(s).
- Develops, coordinates and participates in community awareness programs about bariatric surgery and medical weight management, diagnosis and treatment options.
- Leads appropriate teams and committees to facilitate standardization of best practices and collaboration among team members.
- Organizes services in a manner to ensure timely and appropriate access and triage of services.
- Ensures consistency and standardization of the program in each market across the System.
- Coordinates and facilitates patient flow, communication, and information flow between inpatient to outpatient care settings as needed.
- Maintains and updates all required documents for regulatory and/or accreditation bodies such as Joint Commission, Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program and Department of Health. Ensures that all mandated measures are collected and submitted in a timely basis and the hospitals are prepared for site visits.
- Serves as the Clinical Coordinator required for MBSQIP accreditation.
- Maintains awareness of market share to assess competitiveness of service; develops and implements plans to optimize market share of (bariatric surgery and medical weight management) services.
- Works with Marketing staff to effectively educate community and referring physicians about program.
- Provides leadership for clinical and administrative process redesign.
- Ensures that processes and programs are in place to support the success of the bariatric surgery and medical weight management programs with all participating hospitals.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Bachelors Degree Required
Work Experience:
- 2 years Experience in Bariatric/Medical Weight loss clinical care. Preferred
Licenses:
- Licensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required or
- Registered Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required or
- Licensed Practical Nurse Upon Hire Required or
- Licensed Practical Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required or Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist Upon Hire Required
