Full-time position; Available shifts include 8 or 10 hour shifts

Case mix includes GI, Plastics, Urology, General, ENT, Peds, Ortho and Ophthalmology

Work with an established team of Anesthesiologists and CRNAs

Salary commensurate with experience - $220K for experienced CRNAs

Signing incentives up to $80K

5 days of CME time off for full-time CRNAs plus $3,500 CME allowance

CRNA

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions :

Reviews and assesses patient condition and develops anesthesia management plan in collaboration with the Anesthesiologist.

Administers anesthetic agents. Calculates doses and monitors parameters.

Maintains patient documentation.

Responds to code / trauma to establish and maintain patient airways via intubation. Documents treatment rendered.

Transports patients from surgery area to post-anesthesia recovery area. Reports patient status to physician and nurse care giver.

Provides airway management training to residents, students and other staff.

IF ASSIGNED TO GETTYSBURG HOSPITAL : May be required to rotate work between the hospital and an ambulatory setting.

Common Expectations :

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s).

Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by : complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.

Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops.

Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

Minimum Education :

Masters Degree Required

Work Experience :

1 year Relevant experience. Required

Licenses :

Licensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required or

Registered Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required and

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training :

Graduation from accredited school of nurse anesthesia. Upon Hire Required and

Earn 40 CME every 2 years to maintain certification. Upon Hire Required
