The free Family Store offers essential clothing and items for children aged 0–17, while our Employee Stability Program helps individuals maintain housing stability and stay gainfully employed as they navigate life’s challenges.

The Residential Support Specialist will provide direct support and advocacy for individuals residing at Coronado Springs. The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish and English, with a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care.
Essential Functions
- Bilingual, Onsite Support. Must be physically present at the community center to provide real-time assistance in both Spanish and English, ensuring individuals receive immediate and effective communication.
- Provide essential support for community-building events to foster resident engagement and social cohesion, ensuring smooth and effective event operation through direct assistance and coordination.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments with residents to identify barriers to stability, such as financial challenges, employment issues, or access to healthcare.
- Develop and implement individualized action plans to address these barriers and monitor progress.
- Provide crisis intervention support to residents at risk of eviction, including helping them access rental and utility assistance.
- Educate residents about their rights and responsibilities as tenants to promote positive landlord-tenant relationships.
- Serve as a liaison between residents and community resources, ensuring seamless referrals to services such as mental health support, employment training, and financial counseling.
- Assist residents in accessing critical services such as mental health counseling, employment training, childcare, transportation assistance, and food security programs.
- Collaborate with local organizations to bring services and opportunities onsite.
- Act as a mediator between residents and landlords/property management to resolve conflicts and promote tenancy stability.
- Implement landlord mitigation strategies, such as negotiating payment plans or advocating for reasonable accommodations.
- Provide education to landlords on supportive housing practices and resources to enhance collaboration.
- Design, implement, and oversee afterschool programs for children and youth that support educational success, social-emotional learning, and recreational development.
- Engage families and community partners to enhance program offerings, such as tutoring, STEM activities, art workshops, or sports programs.
- Partner with schools, nonprofits, and volunteers to enhance program offerings.
- Maintain detailed case notes and documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
- Provide regular reports on service delivery, outcomes, and resident satisfaction.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to stay informed of the best practices and resources.
- Support Wellspring values by acting in a manner consistent with those values.
- Support the organization and attend community events, workshops, and meetings to promote services and resources families.
- Additional tasks and projects may be assigned as needed.
- Experience developing youth programs or working in educational settings.
- Knowledge of local resources and community organizations.
- Deep understanding of housing stability strategies and tenant advocacy.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal). Ability to effectively communicate, translate and interpret in both languages.
- Minimum three years of experience in housing support services, case management, or community engagement, preferably working with low-income households.
- Familiarity with landlord-tenant laws and conflict resolution strategies.
- Familiarity with the unique needs of vulnerable populations, including those exiting homelessness, traumatic, or have faced systemic inequities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience troubleshooting minor software problems.
- Highly developed cultural competency and awareness; practices appropriate, relevant, and sensitive strategies for working with a culturally diverse population.
- Highly developed awareness of diversity, equity, and inclusion, with evolved ability to practice appropriate, relevant, and thoughtful strategies for working with diverse populations .
- Upon employment successful completion of background check, including FBI fingerprinting.
