As a Foster Care Supervisor with the Wellspring Kentwood team, you will be part of a team committed to delivering exceptional services to children and families in and around Kent, Muskegon and the surrounding counties. You will bring a master's degree in social work or a related human services field and 3 years of experience in child welfare OR you could also bring a bachelor's degree in social work or a related human services field and 4 years of experience in child welfare. You will have be reliable, and have a responsible attitude, a compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do.
As Foster Care Supervisor, you will:
- Lead the Case Management team and encourage an environment that promotes positive employee morale
- Coach, manage, develop and train the case management team, support staff and student interns while providing weekly supervision
- Ensure overall unit compliance with contracts, licensing, accreditation guidelines, agency policy, procedure and strategic plan, etc. Complete case reviews quarterly.
- Input data per established guidelines into agency and contractor data collection systems.
- Handle and coordinate the ongoing personnel issues of the unit; i.e., leave records, training records, participate in the recruitment, interview, reference, and orientation process for new hires.
- Communicate employee performance expectations, conduct new hire six month evaluations and annual evaluations. Develop performance improvement plans where required.
- Coordinate the referral and intake process and make appropriate assignments to staff.
- Monitor, read and approve all required reports, including incident reports.
- Provide some direct service to clients depending on specific contract language or unit structure.
