As a Housekeeping/Laundry Team Lead with the Fairview Campus at Wellspring, you’ll be part of a team of nurses, CNAs and senior support staff committed to helping seniors and families in Fairview. In this position, you'll be directly supporting your community in Oscoda County to provide services to seniors. In this position, you will bring a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior housekeeping experience, preferred.
As a Housekeeping/Laundry Team Lead, you will:
Provide input to the department manager for annual evaluations. Provide training and orientation to department staff
Create department schedules, schedule room turnovers, and ensure coverage in the event of vacation, call-ins, or personal days
Participate in interview process for recruitment. Delegate daily work assignments to department staff
Ensure carts are stocked with necessary equipment and supplies, ensuring proper labeling and replenishment of supplies according to job assignment guidelines
Inventory for ordering weekly provided to supervisor
Follow cleaning schedule as outlined for department abiding by Standard Precautions, hazardous waste handling and cleaning agent using policies and procedures
Clean assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures including floors, furniture, walls, sills, closets, and doors according to procedure. Floors: dry mop, wet mop, disinfect where and when necessary
Clean movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures. Dust, spot clean or wash, disinfect when necessary, polish where required; this includes cleaning of ledges, shelves, vents, etc. Empty, clean and reline wastebaskets; straighten or rearrange furniture as directed; inspect furnishings for wear and effects and report to Supervisor
Spot clean carpets and rugs: vacuum, carpeting and rugs. Wash and remake beds as scheduled. Straighten residents belonging and remove unwanted items as directed by resident. Clean toilets, sinks, mirrors and soap dispensers
Dining Rooms: wash tables, chairs, mop floors, and clean tables after meals when needed. Bathrooms: clean and disinfect all fixtures, floors, and walls as directed; wash windows and mirrors, replenish bathroom supplies, remove trash. Clean walls, windows, and doors. Clean all handrails, window ledges, and horizontal surfaces daily or as required removing dust, dirt, grease using disinfectants when necessary
Perform terminal cleaning duties according to established procedure in resident rooms when patient has been discharged or transferred, and prepare room for new occupant.
Remove waste and dispose of trash, water flowers in resident rooms and throughout building. Report observations concerning structural and equipment wear, defects, and malfunctioning to supervisor. Report supply, and equipment needs to supervisor for replenishing
Inspect hallway floors, walls, ceilings, waste containers, and laundry containers and clean as needed. Defrost and clean refrigerators according to assignment schedule. Perform emergency housekeeping where accidents occur. Maintain equipment used in performing duties
Pick up soiled linens/laundry and deliver clean to all required areas. Sort soiled laundry from residents in accordance with policy and procedures. Wash and dry soiled laundry according to instruction on tag. Follow safe operations of laundry equipment. Maintain a neat/orderly work area: clean area of laundry room and equipment
