Job Description:
An experienced Travel RN Infusion Therapist is needed for a challenging and rewarding travel nursing opportunity with Wellspring Nurse Source. This position involves administering intravenous therapies, including medications, fluids, and blood products to ensure safe and effective infusion treatments for patients.
Key responsibilities of this role include assessing patient needs, selecting appropriate IV sites, inserting catheters, and maintaining IV access. The ideal candidate will also have experience in monitoring and administering IV medications, as well as collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
As a valuable member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving IV-related complications, educating patients and families on proper IV device care and maintenance, and ensuring compliance with infection control practices.
Required skills and qualifications for this position include a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and experience working in IV therapy. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) is preferred.
