About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Wellspring Nurse Source. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing critical care and therapeutic respiratory services to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate patients' respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions using diagnostic tests and physical examinations.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients on mechanical ventilation, adjusting settings as needed to ensure proper oxygenation and ventilation.
• Perform ABG sampling and analysis to evaluate oxygen, carbon dioxide, and pH levels.
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and equipment usage.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide emergency care, including airway management and intubation assistance.
• Maintain and operate advanced respiratory care equipment, ensuring its cleanliness and functionality.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately.
• Stay up-to-date on advancements in respiratory care techniques and technologies.
Requirements
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• RRT or CRT credential from the NBRC.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong clinical and technical skills in respiratory care management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
