Job Description:
A CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized care to critically ill patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries, including open-heart surgery, coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), valve replacements, and other cardiac-related procedures. The nurse will play a critical part in monitoring and managing patients' cardiovascular status, providing advanced nursing care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients with complex cardiac conditions. Key responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for critically ill patients recovering from cardiac surgical procedures, including post-operative care. Additional duties include administering medications, providing post-surgical care, and collaborating with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans. Qualifications for this role include a BSN or ADN degree, valid RN licensure in the state of practice, and certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Prior experience in intensive care, cardiac care, or CVICU is also preferred. A competitive pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, along with a tax-free stipend, is offered for this 13-week travel nursing assignment in Glendale, Arizona.
