Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
- Evaluate and respond to diverse patient needs, ensuring optimal health outcomes through effective assessment, planning, and intervention.
- Closely monitor patients' status, including vital signs, lab results, and treatment responses.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Clinical Documentation:
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and up-to-date patient records, incorporating assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Foster open communication with the healthcare team regarding patient progress and any changes in condition.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Cultivate seamless care coordination with physicians, physical therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and post-discharge care plans.
- Technical Skills:
- Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, such as IV pumps, wound vacuums, and telemetry monitors.
- Perform procedures like catheterizations, wound care, and IV insertions with precision and attention to detail.
- Patient Advocacy:
- Promote patient safety, ensure compliance with hospital policies, and uphold regulatory standards.
- Address patient concerns, ensure comfort, and dignity throughout the care process.
- Emergency Response:
- Recognize and respond promptly to deteriorating patient conditions, initiating life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Participate actively in code teams and rapid response scenarios.
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Certifications:
