What are the responsibilities and job description for the Perioperative Care Traveler position at Wellspring Nurse Source?
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse to join our team at Wellspring Nurse Source. As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions of care and prepare patients for discharge.
About the Job:
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, level of consciousness, pain levels, and respiratory function.
- Administer medications, including pain management, anti-nausea, and other post-operative medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement recovery plans.
- Recognize and respond to signs of adverse reactions or complications, escalating care as necessary.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
