Job Description:
The Post-Anesthesia Registered Nurse provides specialized post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures or anesthesia. The RN will assess and monitor patients' post-anesthesia status, including vital signs, level of consciousness, pain levels, and respiratory function.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients' post-anesthesia status.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor patients for signs of complications.
- Develop and implement recovery plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing and excellent communication skills. The RN will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions of care and prepare patients for discharge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Current RN licensure in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
