Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse (RN) to work in a dynamic environment as a progressive care unit (PCU) stepdown nurse. As a PCU stepdown nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients who have been stabilized from intensive care but still require higher levels of monitoring and medical interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage complex medical conditions such as post-surgical recovery, cardiac conditions, and respiratory distress.
- Assess patients' conditions and implement individualized care plans to meet their evolving needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to medical protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust treatment plans based on patient needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience.
- Current RN licensure in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred for patients with cardiac conditions.
