Wellspring Nurse Source is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide critical care and therapeutic respiratory services in a hospital setting. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess, treat, and educate patients of all ages, ensuring optimal respiratory health and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions through diagnostic tests and physical examinations.
- Administer therapeutic treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator support.
- Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation, adjusting settings as needed to ensure proper oxygenation and ventilation.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and equipment usage, such as inhalers or CPAP machines.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (PALS or NRP preferred for pediatric/neonatal care).
