We're seeking a seasoned Director of Nursing with extensive experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) to join our team at Wellspring Nurse Source. As a travel nurse RN Director Skilled Nursing, you'll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care, ensuring compliance with regulations, staffing, and operational standards. Your leadership skills will be put to the test as you manage and lead the nursing staff, develop and implement policies and procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
* Manage and lead the nursing staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
* Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing care.
* Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and other healthcare professionals to develop and maintain individualized care plans for residents.
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
* Monitor clinical outcomes, quality of care, and ensure continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident health and satisfaction.
* Oversee medication management, treatment planning, and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
* Ensure appropriate care levels are provided to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
* Manage and maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
* Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
* Certification in Gerontology preferred
