Duties and Requirements
The RN Med Surg / Telemetry Healthcare Professional will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients with acute or chronic conditions. This includes monitoring patients' vital signs and cardiac telemetry readings for abnormalities or arrhythmias, administering medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by the physician, and using telemetry equipment to continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms.
The professional will also maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, while documenting telemetry monitoring findings and nursing actions in accordance with hospital policies. They will work closely with physicians, case managers, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
In addition to these responsibilities, the RN Med Surg / Telemetry Healthcare Professional will educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care, and provide emotional support to those dealing with serious or life-changing conditions.
