We are seeking a highly skilled travel nurse to join our team as an RN medical surgical department manager. This role involves leading a team of nurses in various medical units and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of nurses in various medical units.
- Develop and implement care plans for patients with complex medical conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide patient-centered care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing patient conditions.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, and post-care instructions.
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and interventions according to established protocols.
- Respond to changes in patient conditions, adapt care plans as needed, and escalate issues to appropriate clinical staff.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) may be required for certain units.
- Leadership experience in a clinical setting.
