The Director of Care Operations will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care in our Skilled Nursing Facility. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and leading the nursing staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide individualized care plans for residents.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, and certification as a Certified Director of Nursing (CDON) or Certified in Gerontology. You will be responsible for monitoring clinical outcomes, quality of care, and ensuring continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident health and satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing care.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and other healthcare professionals to develop and maintain individualized care plans for residents.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, quality of care, and ensure continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident health and satisfaction.
- Oversee medication management, treatment planning, and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Ensure appropriate care levels are provided to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
- Manage and maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding patient safety, reporting of incidents, and adherence to healthcare standards.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and collaboration among staff to ensure high standards of care are met.
- Serve as a liaison between the nursing team, administration, and external regulatory bodies.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement programs to enhance clinical outcomes.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Certification: Certified Director of Nursing (CDON) or Certified in Gerontology preferred.
- Experience: Previous leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) required.
