Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. As a SICU RN, you will provide specialized care to patients who have undergone major surgical procedures or are experiencing life-threatening complications from surgical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and deliver critical care to post-surgical patients, managing complex surgical complications and life-threatening conditions.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' vital signs, hemodynamic status, respiratory function, and response to surgical interventions.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments related to post-operative care, including pain management, sedation, and antibiotics.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to develop and adjust care plans based on patients' evolving needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred.
