Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Sainte Genevieve, Missouri.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer radioactive materials for diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures.
- Operate specialized imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to capture diagnostic images of organs and tissues.
- Administer intravenous injections, oral radiopharmaceuticals, or inhalation of radioactive substances as required.
- Analyze and interpret nuclear medicine images to identify normal and abnormal findings for physician review.
- Collaborate with nuclear medicine physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement diagnostic imaging protocols and treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Certification: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience:
Previous experience in nuclear medicine or imaging is preferred.
About the Job
