Job Title: Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (Rehab RN)
A Rehabilitation Registered Nurse provides care to patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or chronic conditions. The focus is on restoring physical, cognitive, and emotional health, ensuring patients receive personalized therapy and support to meet rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' needs to develop individualized rehabilitation care plans.
- Administer medications, therapies, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and effective rehabilitation.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Provide education to patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, adaptive techniques, and recovery strategies.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility to promote independence and safety.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Licensure:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in rehabilitation nursing.
