Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS Tele RN)
A Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse provides patient care for adults with acute medical conditions, post-surgical needs, and those requiring telemetry monitoring.
Main Responsibilities
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients with acute or chronic conditions.
- Monitors patients' vital signs and cardiac telemetry readings for abnormalities or arrhythmias.
- Administers medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by the physician.
- Interprets cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
- Maintains accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborates with physicians, case managers, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educates patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Telemetry Nurse Certification is preferred.
