Job Description
Respiratory Therapist Role
- Critical Care Services: Provide life-saving interventions, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator support, to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and equipment usage, promoting optimal health and recovery.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to develop individualized care plans and ensure seamless patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure and Certification: Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Clinical Experience: Strong clinical and technical skills in respiratory care management, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
