Job Description
We are seeking an instructor to teach a phlebotomy course. This position will be part of the Medical Assisting program in a classroom. The position will be part-time, PRN at the Springfield Campus.
Job Duties
Instruct students in a classroom and laboratory environment to prepare them for the job field.
Manage a classroom of students with various learning styles.
Effectively achieve the objectives of each course taught.
Submit grades and attendance in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the Program Manager to improve curriculum in the assigned discipline program.
Prepare students to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
Job Skills/Requirements
Be a current Certified Phlebotomy Technician.
The potential instructor must have two (2) years of occupational (i.e., practical) experience as a CPT.
The potential instructor must have experience presenting to a group and sharing accurate knowledge.
Hold a current license, certification or other credential as required by local, state and/or federal laws to work in the field of Medical Assisting.
The ideal candidate will be highly personable, outgoing and must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal abilities and have a track record of achieving results by working through other people.
