Wellspring Community is seeking a dynamic and purposeful individual who is passionate about providing exceptional service to residents and creating a vibrant and thriving community environment at our new residential community, the Unity on Park. Qualified candidates will have a passion for working with adults that have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Manager of Residential Services is responsible for the oversight and administration of all services, staff, and activities in the daily operations of all Wellspring Community residential services in a manner which promotes excellence in resident care, fiscal responsibility and compliance with organization and regulatory agency expectations. This is a critical leadership position within the organization and must demonstrate a high level of integrity and a strong depth of knowledge regarding guidelines and legislation surrounding Intellectual Disabilities and/or Behavioral Health topics. The manager will provide professional leadership and guidance in a manner which encourages teamwork, professional development, sound program and fiscal development, and community recognition and support for the organization’s activities.
The Unity on Park provides independent and affordable housing for adults with I/DD while Wellspring Community will support those individuals with quality residential care. The Manager of Residential Services position is an integral part of our organization, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the development, growth, and success of our residential services program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Including but not limited to the following:
- Residential Program Supervision and Oversight
- Ensure that Wellspring residential programs operate in compliance with laws, regulations, state guidelines, and organizational policy.
- Develop and implement quality residential program goals, policies, and procedures that are consistent with the mission of the organization.
- Participate in the strategic and operational planning process for the Residential Services Division. This includes hiring, onboarding, and management of residential staff, oversight of program financials and budgets, and working collaboratively with other program teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrate leadership skills that show ability to communicate, understand, give or follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instruction, write information, and request assistance. Ability to communicate well with all types of people – external and internal consumers of services.
- Exceptional project management skills including the ability to create action plans and achieve the timeline. Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
- Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities. Ability to exhibit sensitivity in dealing with residents, their families/guardians, and case management professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, high stress tolerance, initiative, sound judgment and the ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with other employees.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, State and Federal regulations, and best practices related to residential services.
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, with 6 years’ experience working in an administrative capacity, of which at least 3 years must have been in a managerial capacity within a residential services organization.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Electronic Charting Systems.
- Thorough knowledge of general business administration practices.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s license and possess the willingness and skills necessary to drive 15 passenger vehicles to transport residents to various outings and activities.
- Must be able to pass a drug and medical test.
