Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care is seeking an acute care nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our established and collegial team in Marietta, GA to work at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Kennestone is a level 1 trauma center with just under 700 beds and the busiest ED in the state.
APPs within the Cardiology group are responsible for managing and coordinating the healthcare of patients alongside the Cardiologists in an inpatient setting as well as collaborating with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
Perform admissions, transfers and discharges for the cardiology patients. Actively participate in the daily medical management of patients. Become thoroughly competent in all aspects of stress testing. Document, maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information in our EMR system (EPIC). Other duties as assigned.
Schedule and shifts may vary. Nights or weekends may be required.
The Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care is the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in northwest Georgia. Required Minimum Education: Board Certified/Board Eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician AssistantRequired Minimum Experience: Previous APP Critical Care Cardiology experience preferred.
