The Athletic Trainer (AT) is responsible for the delivery of health care services as part of a multidisciplinary team by providing athletic training services that are in accordance with GA and/or SC state practice acts. The incumbent may work in one or more of the following settings: 1) collegiate/high school/middle school outreach, 2) education/high school sports medicine curriculum, 3) community/special event coverage, and/or 4) clinical physician support. The incumbent serves as a manager for one of the settings listed above, managing and overseeing a staff of athletic trainers.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree: Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or similar field.
5 years or more of experience in the practice of athletic training.
Board of Certification (ATC), Appropriate state credential as an athletic trainer, Current American Heart Association, Basic Life Support, Appropriate state
credential as an athletic trainer, interpersonal skills, organization, timeliness, cooperation, flexibility, leadership, and managerial.
