Job Title:
The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care.
This role requires experience in the Inpatient Burn Unit at Cobb Hospital, working FT Nights (7pm-7am, 36 hour week). Eligible candidates are entitled to a sign on bonus and relocation assistance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care using evidence-based practice.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that adapts service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity.
- Always partner with the patient and significant others using appropriate methods for setting and purpose.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a manner that is fiscally responsible and promotes the recruitment and retention of all healthcare team members.
- Participate and support performance improvement inclusive of all stakeholders, research and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care.
Professional Development and Initiative:
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessment, required mandatory education, population-specific education.
- Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses to ensure a qualified workforce.
Required Minimum Education:
An Associate's Degree in nursing or Graduation from an accredited/approved school of nursing is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
A Reg Nurse (Single State) license and Basic Life Support certification are required. Multi-state Compact RN, BLS Instructor, and BLS Provisional certifications are also required.
