Overview
WellStar Medical Group is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for busy and well established cardiology group. Manage and coordinate the healthcare of cardiology patients, in the inpatient setting, at hospitals located approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time/nights opportunity.
Responsibilities
In this role you will collaborate with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
Perform admissions, transfers and discharges for the cardiology patients. Actively participate in the daily medical management of patients. Become thoroughly competent in all aspects of stress testing. Document, maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information in our EMR system (EPIC). Other duties as assigned.
The Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care is the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in northwest Georgia. The Center includes 9 hospitals and 26 office locations throughout metro Atlanta. Our 90 physicians and 85 APPs provide care for the entire spectrum of cardiac patients (surgery, structural heart, advanced heart failure, EP, advanced imaging, complex intervention, ECMO, and research).
Qualifications
Board Certified/Board Eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. Previous APP experience in cardiology preferred.
