We are seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse who enjoys making a difference in their patient's life. With Wellstar's Northwest Georgia Oncology Center you can have a positive impact on the well-being of our patients. This full-time opportunity is based at our beautiful Vinings Health Park located in Smyrna.
The Oncology LPN works under the direction of the direction of a Registered Nurse or Nurse Manager and functions within the LPN Scope of Practice. The LPN provides care for the patient. This includes age-appropriate interventions that meet physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial and educational needs. The Oncology LPN is responsible for coordination and delivery of high-quality care including preparing patient for exams, assisting during treatments, coordinating tests and follow-up care and recording treatment in medical record. The LPN also assists with patient and family education.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Education:
- Practical Nursing Diploma
Required Minimum Licensure/Certification:
- Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association prior to hire date.
