Description :
The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team providing individualized high-quality, safe patient care.
They practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and are guided by a Professional Practice Model and evidence-based research.
They uphold the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, implementing the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards.
They coordinate safe quality patient care through effective interdisciplinary communication and foster a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
They participate and support performance improvement initiatives, promoting safe, quality patient care through research and shared governance.
They complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education.
They serve as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses to ensure a qualified workforce.
They promote Evidence-Based Practice and participate in activities like value analysis in evaluating patient care products.
They uphold all organizational policies and standards, including patient safety goals.
They participate in data collection and use evidence-based resources to address practice questions.
They proactively plan patient care across the care continuum and develop protocols collaboratively.
They support the efficient and effective use of human and material resources.
Performs other duties as assigned.
