We are a non-profit community organization that offers a wide range of services for every phase of life, from children to older adults
As the Geriatric Therapist you are supporting our elderly while they adjust to their new stages of life in a nursing home setting. This role will involve working with nursing home staff, client families and medical teams to ensure our clients with the most life experience are provided with the best support possible. This is a full time position working Monday - Friday , 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm
What we're looking for :
- Masters’s degree in counseling, psychology or a related field
- Ability to perform group instruction & activities
- Good organizational & documentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and / or referral sources
- Proficient writing skills
- Genuine respect and concern for the elderly
- Experience preferred working with the seriously mentally ill
- Effective planning skills
