Job Title : Senior Billing Specialist

Supervisor : Program Manager

Job Description : Assist the Billing Manager in daily billing / administrative operations.

What we are looking for :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years medical billing experience
  • Knowledge of behavioral health billing
  • Knowledge of CPT & HCPCS codes

What you will be doing :

  • Process commercial insurance billing – 837 files and paper billing claims
  • Process additional billing claims through external portals
  • Create daily payments report for Accounts Receivable Specialist
  • Review denied and rejected claims
  • Reprocess or adjust denied and rejected claims
  • Review and reprocess claims with errors
  • Update client information in HER system and add alerts to client profiles, as needed
  • Receive calls from clients, answer questions clients may have, and review accounts with clients
  • Take client payments over the phone
  • Receive calls from staff regarding client insurance and balances
  • Other administrative / billing duties as assigned
  • Other duties assigned.
