What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Use Disorder Residential Coordinator position at Wellstone?
Job Description: The Substance Use Disorder Treatment Residential Coordinator manages and provides supervision of staff affiliated with the SUD Residential Program. This position also provides direct clinical supervision, consultation and services as needed as well as consults with various internal and external agencies.
What you'll be doing:
- Direct management and supervision the Residential Programs and various Group Homes.
- Coordinate, Collaborate and Communicate with internal and external resources to assist clients.
- Provide supervision of residential staff &/or House supervisors affiliated with residential programs and those residential case managers who provide services for clients residing at various locations.
- Responsible for ensuring staffing is adequate to maintain 24/7 hours of operation with residential staff on site, managing overtime cost and group home budgets
- Ensure incident reports are accurate and timely submission of reports, timely review/disposition of referrals, timely assessments for placement in the residential continuum.
- Provide job coaching, follow up and progressive discipline when required.
- Ensure training is up to date, attend required meetings and participate in performance improvement activities.
- Participate in screening procedures for State/Local Hospital/Acute Care disposition & placement.
- Provide direct clinical supervision, consultation and services as needed.
- Monitor & ensure documentation compliance on a regular basis.
- Monitor & ensure productivity expectations are met.
- Interview, select and provide performance expectations to new staff, PRN staff ensuring performance, documentation & training requirements are met.
- Provide performance improvement documentation, disciplinary documentation, verify timesheets, information in electronic timekeeping. system, assist with the coordination of leave requests and other managerial duties as assigned.
- Provide Crisis Intervention as necessary.
- Ensure residential programs meet and/or exceed AL DMH Administrative Code.
- Review placement requests and availability of beds within the various residential homes.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team working with residential clients.
- Ability to travel to various residential homes for quality checks, observation to ensure compliance.
- Ability to perform duties as a House Manager, Residential Worker, Therapist or other position as needed.
- Receive and address client or staff complaints in a timely manner.
- Complete other duties assigned.

- 2 years post masters experience with population
- Supervision Experience
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
