Job Description

Description : The Substance Use Programs Director is responsible for the administrative oversight, clinical supervision, reporting obligations, and communication and organizing of WellStone’s various SUD programs at Huntsville and Cullman locations. This position will also assess and analyze the strengths, needs, and outcomes of the clinical programs to ensure the general welfare of clients and staff.

What you’ll be doing :

Provide oversight and management of daily operations for WellStone’s various SUD programs in Huntsville (River Crossing, New Horizons, River Valley, Child & Adolescent SUD) and Cullman.
Provide strategic planning and development of SUD programs.
Ensure the programs meet all WellStone policies and procedures in addition to ADMH SUD Guidelines.
Ensure quick access of services to clients.
Develop strategic partnerships to drive growth and impact in SUD programs.
Establish and maintain communication with referral sources and develop new referral sources to enhance and expand the program.
Monitor program expenditures and revenues to maintain programs are within budget.
Anticipate challenges with the ability to independently and / or collaboratively develop proposed solutions and execute them.
Participate in screening of clients and the referral process to local agencies or inter-Center referrals.
Review client enrollment in programs.
Provide and supervise discharge planning of clients upon completion of treatment.
Maintain high quality documentation and records management in a timely fashion.
Supervise SUD staff, monitor productivity standards, manage group coverage, and provide weekly clinical supervision of staff.

What we’re looking for :

Master’s degree & certification or licensure eligible in Substance Use Disorder Treatment.

Minimum of 2 years’ post-masters clinical experience in the substance use, mental health, or related behavioral health program.

Demonstrated compliance with internal program and organizational policies, procedures, and operational protocols.

Familiarity and knowledge of ADMH SUD State Guidelines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients / residents, families, interdisciplinary team and other personnel.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trust with others through exhibiting personal character and professional competence.

Ability to make decisions and appropriately delegate to team members and colleagues.
