What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Accounts/Collections Representative - Behavioral Health position at Wellstone Regional Hospital?
The Patient Accounts/Collections Representative is responsible for insurance verification and insurance billing, follow up of billed accounts, upfront collections and collection of assigned patient accounts by contacting insurance companies and third-party payors to resolve all outstanding owed balances to resolution or patient responsibility and explore patient’s financial circumstances to ensure fair and reasonable repayment terms. Will meet with patients and/or call Guarantor’s to collect outstanding balances due. Coordinates information with ClaimAid contracted employee so they can follow for applications for Medicaid/HIP or Marketplace insurance.
Qualifications:
Screening process will include pre-employment drug testing, CPS check, and other background checks (includes credit check.)
